Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ryan did my solar battery installation and was outstanding throughout the entire process. His communication was excellent, and he organised the job professionally from start to finish. He arrived on time, clearly explained the installation process, and took the time to answer all of my questions.

Even after the installation was completed, Ryan remained highly responsive when I had a query about the system. I would highly recommend Ryan for solar installations as well as any general electrical work.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Over the moon with our recent Sig Energy install that Ryan completed for us.
We’d been messed around by a few sales-driven companies beforehand, so finally dealing with Ryan — someone who actually tailored the system to our household’s needs from start to finish — was a breath of fresh air.

Ryan guided us through the entire process and clearly explained the different inverter and battery brands, along with the pros and cons of each. That made it easy to choose the right setup for our home, and with his experience we always felt we were in safe hands.

We also had a full switchboard upgrade, which now means we can use the battery when the power goes out — a massive bonus!

We ended up choosing a 32 kWh battery with a 10 kW 3-phase inverter, and we couldn’t be happier. We’ll definitely be passing Ryan’s number on to friends and family who are interested. We haven’t used one unit from the grid since installed 😍

Going Solar? Let’s Talk Rebates and Incentives

Eligible solar and battery installations may qualify for government incentives that help bring down upfront costs, including Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) and the Cheaper Home Batteries Program.

Eligibility depends on your system, property and grid connection. RAD NRG helps you identify applicable incentives, check eligibility requirements and manage the paperwork. We’ll account for applicable discounts in your quote, so you can understand the upfront costs before making a decision.

Frequently Asked Questions

What solar services does RAD NRG offer?

RAD NRG provides solar panel installation, solar battery systems, commercial solar, EV charger installation, solar farm operations and maintenance, existing system upgrades, servicing and removal.

Which areas does RAD NRG service?

We work across Gladstone, Tannum Sands, Boyne Island, Calliope, Agnes Water, Seventeen Seventy (1770), Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Bundaberg and surrounding Central Queensland areas. If you’re unsure whether your property is within our service area, get in touch and we’ll confirm.

Can I add a battery to my existing solar system?

In many cases, yes. We’ll assess your existing inverter, switchboard, solar system and energy usage to determine a suitable battery option. Whether you’re looking to store excess solar power for the evening or explore backup power capabilities, we’ll explain what’s compatible with your setup.

Do I need Ergon Energy approval to install solar or a battery?

Grid-connected solar and battery installations generally require approval from the relevant electricity network operator. In Gladstone and much of Central Queensland, that’s Ergon Energy. RAD NRG coordinates the network application and relevant electrical work paperwork, helping you navigate the requirements before your system is connected.

What solar rebates and incentives are available?

Eligible solar installations may qualify for Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs), while eligible battery installations may qualify for the Cheaper Home Batteries Program. Requirements depend on factors such as your system, property and grid connection. We’ll help check which incentives may apply and manage the relevant paperwork, with applicable discounts reflected in your quote.

Explore rebate options

Are RAD NRG's installers licensed and accredited?

Yes. RAD NRG holds Electrical Contractor Licence 91606, and our installers are accredited by Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA). Our own electricians carry out the installation, giving you a qualified team responsible for the electrical work.

Can landlords and tenants install solar?

Solar may be an option for rental properties, but the right approach depends on the property’s ownership arrangements, metering and grid connection. We can help landlords and tenants understand their options, including individually metered properties and embedded network setups, and identify the next steps.

How long does solar installation take?

Our current installation lead time is around 4–6 weeks. Timing can vary depending on your system requirements, project scope and scheduling. We’ll discuss the expected timeframe with you before locking in your installation date.

Is a deposit required?

A 50% deposit secures your installation date, with the remaining 50% payable after commissioning and once you’re satisfied with our service. We’ll outline the payment terms clearly in your quote, so you know what to expect before work begins.
